I’m not sure which is more momentous – that I have less than 100 days left of my Project 365, or that I have actually caught up to posting my most recent photo.
Day 260: Weathered
On our recent trip to Central Washington, we stopped at this old abandoned set of homes on the Klickitat River. Some day I’ll post more photos from this little visit – lots of views into these old cottages. For now, this one will have to do.
Day 261: Mount Hood
Our trip to Central Washington was mostly about visiting wineries in the Columbia Gorge AVA. Our first visit was to Domaine Pouillon. This was the view not too far from their property.
Day 262: Quizzical
David Beckham came to town when the Sounders played LA Galaxy. I captured this moment just before the national anthem. I just love both of their expressions.
Day 263: Golden Garden Dusk
The sun had already set, but I grabbed my tripod and headed out to Golden Gardens in Ballard. The light after sunset is one of my favorite times to photograph.
Day 264: Layers
We’ve had some very unusual cloud formations for the Pacific Northwest this summer. We don’t normally get big cumulus clouds in Seattle, and while this one didn’t amount to anything (no thunderstorms this time) it made for a rather dramatic photo at sunset.
Day 265: Sounders Score
Don’t want to talk about this one. Let’s just say that while this moment in the US Open Cup was great, it wasn’t the end of the match.
Day 266: Vines from Above
Day 267: Lupines
Day 268: Series 1957
It’s not often that you see a Silver Certificate in circulation anymore. In fact, I can’t say for certain that I’d ever seen one before. This one was from 1957, a few years before my time.
Day 269: Yellow Jackets
Not a very “artful” shot, this was more to share with the neighbors of our townhouse complex. We first were made aware of the nest when my wife found a couple of the guys (or rather, gals) in our bathroom just after having a shower. Luckily, she came out of it unscathed.
Great stuff, Mikie!! I really like the Mt Hood pic(#261).
